How to do the Hockey Turn Elimination Moves by Hertzberger TV

The video is about the “turn technique” in hockey, which involves keeping the ball in the hook of the stick and turning in a certain direction for quick movements and control. The first basic elimination skill with the turn is the 180° turn move, where the player runs towards the opponent and then steps back to change direction.

The second part is a 360° turn, which can be used when the defender anticipates the 180° move and exposes their side. The main difference between the 180° and 360° turns is the width: the 180° turn goes wide around the defender, while the 360° turn should be compact and end up on the left side.

The third variation involves going the other way and threatening to go over the reverse side of the defender, requiring a wide turn and effective selling of the move. An extra technique is releasing the left hand and using only one arm to go even wider, which is difficult but effective if mastered.

The last variation, the presenter’s favorite, involves going to the back end of the defender, letting them think the player is going one way, and then pulling it back and continuing the run. This requires control and precision.
