This technique is becoming increasingly important to master since the hockey rules allow players to have their stick above shoulder height.


Here are the most important points:

1. Quickly gauge the distance of the overhead
2. Back peddle to be able to get under the ball
3. Put you stick up with 1 or 2 hands
4. Have an angle on your stick & drop the ball to the ground
5. Keep your eyes on the ball
