Floris van der Linden: How to receive the overhead pass above the shoulder height?

This technique is becoming increasingly important to master since the hockey rules allow players to have their stick above shoulder height.

Here are the most important points:

1. Quickly gauge the distance of the overhead
2. Back peddle to be able to get under the ball
3. Put you stick up with 1 or 2 hands
4. Have an angle on your stick & drop the ball to the ground
5. Keep your eyes on the ball
