Field Hockey Goalkeeper: Mid high save, bouncing ball progression drills

Let’s watch this nice drill progression created by GoalkeeperFullTraining – Field Hockey, where they focus on a complex but useful goalkeeping skill. In this case, they focus on how to practice the “mid high save” through a bouncing ball, which is always a difficult play to defend.

It is very important to focus on the following technical details: Knee up and hips square, pad upright behind ball, play down & away, head over saving zone, keep weight forward, the gloves need to come with the leg guards when making the save, and always watch the ball.
