Tactical analysis: double pressure on the center-mid

bannerfih

This action shows how Belgium decided to allow the German centre-mid to receive with freedom while putting pressure after he is in possession of the ball. When he receives he has space to turn and think but, he ends up losing the ball from behind. The Belgian defender who comes facing him frontally is trying to make him focus on what is ahead instead of what is behind of him and therefore, the Belgian attacker is the one stealing the ball. His attention is caught by the frontal player so he does not pay attention to what is coming from behind.
