GALLERY: The Hockey Families Of Argentina

“The Hockey Family”: This term means a lot to every player, coach, manager or fan who is passionate about our sport. Indeed, hockey despite of its current growth, is still a family sport. The passion for our sport is passed on generation after generation and Argentina, is indeed a very remarkable case. These are just a few cases where the sport is linked by family bonds.


 

Lucas, Matias and Emiliano Rey
Lucas, the older brother of the Rey family, is the captain of the Argentinean team and a player of Jaypee Punjab Warriors. Matias is the center-midfielder of his national team and also a member of the 2015 Spanish champions, Real Polo Club de Barcelona. Emiliano, the youngest one is a member of the reserve and developmental team of Argentina. The three of them also play for the club team in Argentina: San Fernando.

Florencia and Agustina Habif:
The Habif sisters are one of the newest additions to the Argentinean team. Florencia was named as the 2014 FIH Rising Star of the Year.

Lucas, Rodrigo and Matias Vila:
Lucas is the youngest of the Vila family and one of the most dangerous attackers in the world. Rodrigo, is the middle brother who also played in an offensive position. Finally, Matias, is a former national team Captain. The 3 of them also play at their club team: Banco Provincia.

Pedro and Isidoro Ibarra:
Pedro, the older brother, is one of the best and most experienced defenders in the world, while Isidoro, is one of the newest faces of the team and a very promising player.
