Attacker vs Defender: How to beat the opponent with an attacking receiving action?

Javier Telechea, creator of Coaching Hockey, shows us an example on how to create space from the defender in order to initiate a fast attack.

The attacker in blue signals where he wants the ball to be sent. He runs in a straight line towards the passer, but makes a cut to his left in order to win space from the defender. the first touch on the ball is in a forward direction allowing him to win time from the defender.
