How to generate offensive advantage by moving behind the defender’s back?

Learning how to move in order to take advantage of the defenders back, is an important skill that every attacker should have. If you watch this play, you will find see how the attacker drags the defender to the left side of the attack just to free the space on the left side of the circle (Source: Hockey North Territory – Australia):


First step: Moving to the left side of the circle with the intention of dragging the mark with him.

Second step: Quickly shifting his weight in order to change direction.

Third step: After making visual contact with the passer, the attacker moves to the desired space.
