Hockey in Bahrain: Dubai Hockey Club visit and tournament

A Hockey World is the proud Official Digital Partner of theBahrain Hockey Association! Hockey is growing in the Gulf! As the kick off to the 2016 hockey year, the Bahrain Hockey Association was proud to organise and host the Dubai Hockey Club in Bahrain for a series of friendly matches against local hockey clubs.

Congratulations to the Dubai Hockey Club for winning the mini tournament cup and penalty shootout competition and to the Hungry Hamours who were awarded runner up in the mini tournament. The rising young stars of the event were also awarded for their outstanding commitment – George Axtell, Llewelyn Forward, Freddie Salmon and Olli Bloodworth.

Bahrain, officially the Kingdom of Bahrain, is an island country situated near the western shores of the Persian Gulf in the Middle East. The Bahrain Hockey Association, is the only recognised hockey body in the Kingdom of Bahrain, recently had the honour of hosting Asian Hockey Federation CEO | International Hockey Federation (FIH) – Head of International Relations Mr. Tayyab Ikram in Bahrain.
