(Source: www.fieldhockey.ca) Canadian Olympic goalkeeper David Carter has a new OBO helmet specially customized for the Olympic Games of Rio 2016 and it really looks great. The mask graphics were designed by Ian Johnson of Excalibur Airbrushing and pays homage to the six previous Canadian teams that participated in Olympic Games: 1964, 1976, 1984, 1988, 2000, 2008 plus the current team, 2016.

The beautiful helmet features a large maple leaf on each side, symbol of Canada. In addition, the helmet features the iconic image of “Christ the Redeemer”, the statue that stands high above Rio de Janeiro, where Carter will officially become an Olympian for the first time. The other side features parts of the Vancouver’s iconic skyline including B.C. Place, Science World, and the Harbour Tower. Finally, on the back of the mask is Field Hockey Canada’s logo and the word “Carter.”
