This was a beautiful moment in hockey: “The Crowd Goes Wild When Player With Down Syndrome Scores”

High school hockey player Sydney Wilson scored a crucial goal against her team’s rival, and is embraced by her teammates. Sydney, who has Down syndrome, is a huge part of her central Pennsylvania team. The goal was Sydney’s fourth in four years of play. Her infectious joy boosts her teammates’ spirits, and she reminds them why they play the game.

This has been one of the most beautiful moment in hockey and another reason why our sport is so amazing!
