4.     What is your general impression about international hockey compared to U.S. hockey?
That’s a tough question!  Other countries are extremely lucky to start so young.  I think I was a bit of an exception, if you were to ask my team what age they started playing most would say at the age of 13!  Apart from the age gap, we also don’t have a club system that is implemented around the world.  That allows people of all age to play a few months out of the year instead of the typical 3 month season you get in America.  Considering out differences, our international teams at all age groups are competing and continuously jumping ranks!

5.     What advice can you give to the hockey youth in America that are currently playing hockey?
Honestly it sounds cliché but make sure you are having fun!  Don’t play because your parents make you or you can get a scholarship out of it.  Play because YOU want to be out there and enjoy every minute of it, because it won’t last forever.
