USA Field Hockey: The Reinprecht Sisters

USA Field Hockey:

The Reinprecht sisters, Julia and Katie, originally from Perkasie, Pennsylvania, made the decision to take one year off their studies at Princeton University after they were selected for the Olympic team in 2012.

After first joining the U.S. Women’s National Team in 2010, and also competing for Princeton’s own hockey team, they finally achieved a lifetime goal of representing their country (USA) in the Olympic Games. The road to get there included some challenges however.

In Julia’s case, when she was 1-year old, she had a cataract removed from her left eye. This resulted in some vision impairments, and since then her vision is coming predominantly from her right eye. Despite this, she is a fierce player, and we hope to see both sisters again in the next Olympic Games.
