This video, shared by HockeyMobile, shows the demanding training session of Argentina Hockey Team prior to the 2014 World Cup where they won the bronze medal after being knocked-out on semifinals against Australia. Indeed Argentina, was one of the teams that was better prepared physically and reached the final stages of the tournament in a good shape. Here are some clips of a regular training session at the Argentinean camp.

Later after this video, the team was able to have a historical performance at the 2014 FIH Hockey World Cup by winning the bronze medal for the first time in history.

Argentina conquered the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, and this was the first time for a South American country to achieve Olympic gold. The preparation for this tournament was extremely hard but Argentina displayed a level of fitness that was above the rest.

The style of play was simple: good circle defence, safe ball distribution, outstanding individual offensive skills and a high percentage of penalty corner scoring. Players like Gonzalo Peillat and Pedro Ibarra (captain), dominated each opponent’s defence with their drag flicks.
