Short news: The final scores of the KO16 of the EHL 2016/17

Banbridge 1 – 1 Racing Club de France (0-3 SO)

Racing Club de France reached the KO8 for the first time since the EHL was created after defeating Banbridge (Ireland) via shooutouts. The game ended 1-1 after Christophe Peters-Deutz (Racing) and Matthew Allister (Banbrigde) scored for each team. The shootout ended 3-0 for Racing.

WKS Grunwald Poznan 0 – 6 Real Club de Polo

Real Club de Polo, one of the favorites of this year’s EHL, won by 6-0 over WKS Grunwald Poznan. Casasayas who scored 3 times, David Alegre who openend the score, and Alex Reyne were the goal scorers.

KHC Dragons 2 – 1 Racing Bruxelles

In the Belgian duel, Dragons took the lead early in the game with a goal by Thomas Verheijen. Thomas Briels extended the lead while Jérôme Truyens scored the only goal for Racing.

SV Kampong 1 – 2 Rot-Weiss Köln

Rot-Weiss Köln, an all-time favorite, defeated another powerhouse, SV Kampong and will face Real Club de Polo in KO8 stage.  Mats Grambusch and Jonas Gomoll scored the two goals for 2-0 the German side. Kampong reacted after the goals and pushed the German team until they were able to find a goal scored by Caspers, with only 8 minutes to go.

Atletic Terrassa 4 – 1  Lisnagarvey

Atletic Terrassa reached the KO8 after defeating by the Irish champions Lisnagarvey by 4 – 1. They will play HC Oranje-Rood in the KO8 on Monday.

Wimbledon 3 – 1 Hamburg

Wimbledon knocked out one of the favorites to win the 2017 EHL, the German team of Hamburg. The game finished 3-1 for the English side.

HC Oranje Rood 3 – 2 AH&BC Amsterdam

HC Oranje Rood, winners of the 2014-15 EHL (back then known as Oranje Zwart), defeated their Dutch rivals AH&BC Amsterdam to advance to the KO8. They will face Atletic Terrassa on Monday in the KO8.

Mannheimer HC 2 – 1 Club Egara

Mannheimer HC made it to the KO8 after defeating the Spanish team of Egara. The game finished 2 – 1 for the German side with goals by Barreiros and Schües, while Quemada scored for the Spanish club. They will now face Wimbledon in the KO8.
