Hockeyroos’ player Ashleigh Nelson has suffered a torn ACL and meniscus injury during a training session on April 28th and is confirmed that this will rule her out of selection for the Olympic Games. Unfortunately, the Australian star will be missing the Olympic Games. We hope that she gets well and we wish her the best, she will be missed at Rio 2016.

Ahsleigh wronte on her facebook: “Just a post confirming that yesterday I tore my ACL in a practice game with the Hockeyroos. I am not ashamed to say I am disappointed and upset that my dream of going to a second Olympics is over, however I am very spoilt and lucky with the support shown by my beautiful family, boyfriend and friends in a difficult situation. This photo came up yesterday and I think it says everything. Onwards and upwards and once again thank-you to all that have sent some love X
