Exercise 2: Tip the lob

Purpose: ​​To improve elimination a lob, balance and repositioning after the first save.

Organisation: 2 goalkeepers – 6 cones – > 75 balls

Exercise:
1. Goalkeeper K1 is positioned 6m. in front of the goal.
2. Trainer stands 3m. from K1 and calls “YES”.
3. K1 now runs backwards still facing the trainer.
4. Trainer plays a lob over K1’s head.
5. K1 blocks thew ball with the stick/right glove/left glove over over the crossbar.
6. K2 plays a bouncing ball towards the left corner of K1.
7. K1 blocks the ball with the legguard/left glove over the baseline.
8. K1 moves to the right.
9. Trainer dribbles the ball towards the right corner of K1.
10. K1 blocks the ball off of the trainers’ stick with the stick/right glove using a diving action.

Variation:
4. Trainer varies between playing a lob and playing a bouncing ball towards K1.
8: Trainer hits the ball in the right corner; 9. K1 blocks the ball with the foot/right glove/stick.

Instructions:
Lob: tip the lob over the crossbar when the ball is on the highest point of K1.
At 7-9: attacking goalkeeping.
