“Coaching does not equal babysitting”, Ric Charlesworth explains a very important coaching concept that you should know!

“Coaching does not equal babysitting”, during the first online conference organised by Hockeytoday.cc, Ric Charlesworth shared a very important piece of advice for coaches of every level.

He explained that followers just want comfort, stability and solutions from the leaders (coaches), and that is just babysitting. True leaders instead try to get people out of their comfort zones. If you want your team to become a special one, you will have to take players to places where they never thought that they could be, taking them to an uncomfortable positions. This is why babysitting players is not successful.
