Blake Govers: The Future Of The Kookaburras, some of his best goals!

Blake Govers, #13 jersey of the Kookaburras Hockey team made his international debut in 2015 when he was only 18 years old. He was born in Wollongong, plays as a forward and was selected as the FIH Best Junior Player and Top Scorer at the 2015 World League Semi Final. Blake Govers was part of the Australia team that won the 2015 World League in India and the 2015 Oceania Cup in New Zealand.

He played for the Wimbledon team at the England League in 2014 and 2015 where they became champions with 5 of his goals in the final against East Grinstead. He is the younger brother of another Kookaburra, the forward Kieran Govers. He also plays for New South Wales’ Waratahs at the Australian Hockey League. He plays with a JDH Stick with the following specifications: 37.5″ lenght, 520 grams of weight with an extra low bow.

He stated that watching his older brother Kieran play for the Kookaburras, gave him the right mindset to achieve his spot at the team.
