Anita Punt is one of the most talented and beautiful players in the world. She was born in New Zealand and has competed for national team since 2009. Anita is of Dutch descent through her father and holds dual New Zealand and Dutch citizenship. She played her first match for New Zealand on 19 June 2009 against India.

Anita Punt has a reputation for her speed, being touted as one of the fastest female hockey players in the world with a time over ten metres ranking her within the top eight of the Black Sticks Men’s squad. In February 2013, Anita Punt was entered as a wildcard entry into the annual International Track Meet in Christchurch, in which she won the 100 metres in 12.61 seconds (on a grass track and with a strong 2.9 m/s headwind), beating many seasoned New Zealand track athletes.

Anita Punt, currently McLaren, was born on October 2nd, 1987 in New Zealand. Her first call to the Blacksticks was in June 2009 after a squad renewal. Her first match was on June 19th, 2009, against India in a practice game. She is a fast and powerful player and has represented the national team of New Zealand in more than 250 games earning the silver medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi and the bronze one at the 2014 Glasgow games.

She was part of the Olympic team of New Zealand at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Her team was able to reach the final match of a FIH international tournament in the 2015 World League final where they won the silver medal against the home team of Argentina.
