3D skills: How to make the “tap and pop”?

Let’s watch this skills by Sander, who is a 11 year-old who plays for Pinoké Amsterdam as forward or mid- fielder. He and his dad have one of the coolest Facebook pages called Hockey Skills and Tricks. He has many videos showing his amazing skills! His dad, Pieter Jongerius, shared this video with us!

In these two videos we focus on how to use do this “tap on the ball” skill that is very useful to jump over block tackles:

As you saw before, Sander taps the ball on the top of it using the flat side of the stick in an almost 45° angle in relation with the turf. This squeezes the ball against the pitch and makes it pop-up.

Watch this skill from a different angle, but make sure to like Hockey Skills and Tricks on Facebook!
